2009 Awards Evening

Pickup Truck Racing Awards Night

The Trucks belonging to the Championship winner and the 2009 Rookie showcased each side of the stage for the presentation of awards at the Pickup Truck Awards Presentation Dinner.

The evening was presented by Paul Musselle who summarised the season and with selected guests actioned the trophy presentation.

There were a few surprised recipients of trophies. The Ben 10 Team received the trophy for the Best Team 2009.

The Spotter of the Year was Barry Fishburn from Team 93 and all of the guests were privileged to listen to a segment of recording of a spotter to driver conversation at a recent race meeting.

The final surprise of the evening was Sarah Harris, the Scrutineering/Safety Administrator with Max and Jack. This award was judged on the result of a secret ballot with votes from all teams and officials at the last round of the Championship.

On the conclusion of the presentation the guests were entertained by a live band followed by a disco playing into the early hours of the morning.

A successful end to an outstanding 2009 season.
