Allen Cooper has described his 2026 title win as a ‘dream come true’ after he climbed to the top of the Pickup Truck Racing Championship mountain at Brands Hatch.

In front of a sell-out crowd at the Kent circuit, Cooper overturned a three-point deficit to ultimately reign supreme and clinch the crown in the final race of the year.

The popular racer charged to second and third in Saturday’s two contests before then shadowing title rival Aaron Thompson in the penultimate contest of the campaign.

Taking a 16-point advantage into the final showdown, Cooper overcame a mechanical issue to seal the deal in style.

“I saw that Aaron didn’t make it out due to his engine issue and that was a real shame,” said Cooper. “That obviously meant that we were champions but my head went a bit and then the throttle cable snapped going down Paddock Hill Bend.

“I could see the cable poking out so managed to grab onto it and with the red flag I was able to get back to the pits and everyone mucked in to ensure we got out. I wanted to be out there and win it that way.”

Commenting on his title success, he added: “I can’t sum up the emotions if I’m honest. I’m over the moon as this is a real dream come true. It’s not just me either, its the people behind me – without this lot (family, friends, team members) I couldn’t have done it.”
